History

Calgary Study Abroad Ltd. (CSA) is aimed at providing better educational opportunities and a chance to experience Canada for all visitors through quality care services. Calgary Language School (CLS) was founded by Agnes Pai, a first generation immigrant from Taiwan (R.O.C.), in 1997, witnessed the hardship of young international students gone through when studying and living alone in a foreign country. Despite adapting to a new country and raising a family, Ms. Pai was determined to find ways to help people like her overcome homesickness and that is – improve fluency in English and develop knowledge, skills and abilities that will enrich their lives. And so, the foundation was established as a dedication to her strength and determination.

Since 1998, we are a family-run organization and has been successfully involved in working with over thousands of international students — both individually and in groups — for short-term and long-term educational and homestay programs. The objective of CSA is to provide opportunities for people of different cultures to come together to learn about other points of view and ways of life. We at CSA believe that cross-cultural understanding is fundamental to developing mutual respect and tolerance between Canadians and people from around the world. Our programs provide cultural experiences that foster good will, tolerance, and understanding through a positive people-to-people experience.

We now design and operate unique learning programs abroad to help more individuals connect with different cultures and opportunities. In any successful and growing organization, people make the difference. Our team is comprised of individuals dedicated to supporting one another. Our combined experience of matching thousands of students in comfortable, community-minded and caring Canadian family over the years lends us the credibility and expertise that has earned us a reputation for excellence and professionalism.
